That looks pretty bad. I have to think the top is either installed incorrectly or is defective.

Any jeep dealer that hasn't seen a soft top leak is new or isn't paying attention. Many leak but few can't be fixed.

Lots of dealerships have leak specialists on sight or covering the region's dealerships.

Maybe the bows aren't attached to the jeep properly??

looks like the water proofing was never applied to the canvas or there are a bunch of small holes in the top. on a sunny day look at the roof from inside and see if you see any small holes.

I would agree. This is not the typical edge leak. Looks like the seams of the top aren't sealed. I'd say you're getting a new top from the appearances. Good luck with the dealer. They can be good or bad.

Looks like two differant leaks on the front door, Mopar has updated seals and numerous RRT's for leak diag. I had to take a 1 day class on just wrangler leaks.

Its been two times now I go to the dealer to check. First time the guy at the service give me a spray bottle of waterproof stuff... And the second time he have change the rubber seal at the top off the windshield. Now I have to wait for the next rain day to check! I think its really the seams are defect...

Can you use a garden hose? Or even a bucket?

That'd be better than rain because you can test small areas one at a time.

The dealer shouldn't be giving you sealant and telling you to fix it. If the seams or fabric leak they should be replacing the top under warranty.

Oh the dreaded soft top leak.

Mine leaked like that in back. From the stiched seams. They stretched and thinned out makeing rain seep in. I used clear silicone
