Default Stock clutch longevity?

How long did your stock clutch last or how many miles on it? Mine has a little over 95,000 miles on it and has worked well. Its a little squeaky and I get a tiny bit of TOB noise since some fairly deep water crossing at a Jeep Jamboree last Oct. but thats it...so far so good. I was thinking of ordering a LUK clutch kit (always heard they supply the majority of factory clutches and have had good luck with them) and a centerforce TOB just to have on standby but I'm afraid I'll jinx myself

Clutch was good when I replaced it at or around 95k.

Throw out bearing was destroyed, was able to reuse the flywheel but went with another factory clutch.

Sitting at almost 115k now with no issues.

I'm at 125,324 mile with my stock clutch. I bought my 2008 JKUR new and haven't had any major problems. I will probably change out the clutch and TOB this summer, just to stay Proactive vs reactive

The TOB has always been notoriously bad on the JK. I had to replace them on both of the two manual JKs I owned well before the bumper-to-bumper warranty. You can't go wrong with an aftermarket TOB, but your clutch will probably be fine.

Echoing others here- the clutch isn't bad but the TOB sucks. I moved to a Spec stage 1 and the National TOB......same noise and even though the Spec holds "100% better/ more than factory" it smokes even easier. I'll go back to a stock clutch when I'm done here. I'll keep replacing TOB's as needed. You just get familiar with the process.

Over 190,000 miles on mine. Little clunky and creaky but still holds just fine.

Little over 100,000 miles on my JKU when it went. My JK gave it up at around 40,000 but it has seen a lot of action.

The answer will depend a lot on your driving style. I replaced mine at 95K miles because the TOB was getting pretty noisy. But the clutch looked just fine ...

Good to know the stock clutch will last a good long while in most cases. My fingers are crossed about the TOB..like I said I've gotten a little noise from it that goes away when the clutch is released. That was within a week after a wheeling trip in which I was "parked" waiting on some Jeeps in front of me in pretty deep water. It was intermittent though and has actually gone away..at least I haven't noticed it in a while.
