These vehicles have their fare share of issues. It's well known. Like posted before either get rid of it or deal.

At least this forum gives us the info we need to help deal.

Last week I would have been ranting about the POS I was sold. After installing the new transmission, cooler, radiator, EGR valve, and new cooler lines, I'm happy again.

Last owner was a No maintenance performing jerk. I would have boiled him in hot oil last week but I have since calmed down.

No manufacturer is immune to defects. This last Toyota truck recall is very substantial.

If you think the JK is bad, try owning a Grand Cherokee. The reason I'm in a JK now is because I got sick of the constant recalls and then the air suspension system took a crap ($3500.00 fix). This was on a 2011 GC Overland Summit. I told them to keep it and traded it on my JK. (I wanted something more capable off-road anyway).

Both my 2010 JKU and my 2001 Grand Cherokee have been very reliable. But then again I always make sure to buy a new Jeep that is made on a Wednesday. No Friday or Monday rigs for me!

Just look at the paperwork. I was lucky and had 74 GCs to choose from and 45 JKU rigs.
