Thanks everybody! I decided to have a local shop put in a Jasper remanufactured engine. It's a little more than what I could have found a used motor, but I figure at least I have a warranty. Used just makes me nervous, never know what you'll get.
So I guess I'll be back on the road in about a week or so. Lessons learned.

I read some reviews on Jasper that were terrible, and some that said they swore by them. My only other option was a used motor that I had a much shorter guarantee on. The savings wasn't much so I went this route.
I'm going to be spending more than I want to on replacing the motor so upgrades weren't really an option...unless you guys know of some real cheap ideas that are worth doing while we have the opportunity.
New motor should be arriving at the shop today.

Keep an eye on the rear main seal, that's where all of my Jasper replacements have been a nightmare.

Mentioned it to the installer. He said he was aware of that issue and said something about the way the flywheel is torqued is a common cause. Don't know if that's the case but we will keep an eye on it nonetheless. Thanks for the heads up.
