Default Tire reccomendations for 2012 Rubicon

Hi folks, I am purchasing a 2012 Rubicon and want the dealer to replace the rims
and tires. How large ( 18, 20 ) can I get away with as I do not plan on lifting it
any time soon. Any advise regarding a good tire size is most appreciated.
I want a "Beefier" look, but nothing to gawdy.

You can go with 20" rims as the tire sidewall will get lower with less choices for tires.

20" wheels make no sense if you ever plan to take it off road.

If you can find them, you could go with 30" wheels and low profile tires... But that wouldn't have the "beefy" look you're wanting (not to mention that would also be sacrilegious). To look beefy, most people would say that means as much tire with as little wheel as possible. So with that in mind, you're looking at 15" wheels, yet that can have issues down the road if you upgrade your steering. A lot of people on this forum, myself included, have 17" wheels because it's the smallest wheel size while being practical for off-roading.
You want small wheels and big tires for off-roading because that creates a lot of tire side wall, which will flex more when aired down to create more traction.
However, if you just want the beefy look and don't care about performance, look for photos online and see what wheel and tire sizes you like best.
P.S. I don't mean to sound rude, but it's a wheel, not a rim (a rim is on a basketball goal). Just don't want you to get flamed later on And welcome to the forum and jeep family!

I'm not a fan of 20's on anything. Not just because of the looks, but check out the weight of those 20 inch rims and tires. Crazy heavy.
You do have the benefit of many choices this great country provides.

17" wheels, 33/12.5 tires no lift is the biggest you can go stock. Might have to cut the plastic air dam, not sure about that.
If you go with flat fenders you can go with 35s if set up properly.

I have 4 with 4K miles and 1 with zero miles, but not sure how to get them to you.

You don't want it to look "gawdy" but yet you are looking at 20" rims.
