Here is what I have come up with so far. Just need to hammer down the gear ratio!
Here's the quickest way to see what you have. Go to this site, but replace all the xxxx's at the end of the link with your VIN number:
http://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/B...xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This will give you the factory build sheet, which should have the numbers on it. For instance on mine, under the "Optional Equipment" section, I have this:

- 4-Spd. Automatic VLP 42RLE Trans
- 3.73 Rear Axle Ratio <--------------- Look for this
- Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle

I have been digging into cargo trailers, they are roughly 3500 pounds 5x8 or 5x12

Dry 1500-1700, wet 3500-3700 ish pounds, unless your hauling lead.
Not cheep either, 2200-5500 depending on materials and construction.

Might just rent a Uhaul

That link is amazing haha love it.

Here is what I pulled that I thought was important to what were talking about.

3.73 REAR AXEL RATIO
anti spin diff rear axel
Trailer tow group
Hyrdraulic assist brake booster
6 speed maual NSG370 transmission
Air Filtering <----this is what, behind the glove box? I have another thread somewhere, that I am asking questions in regarding this.
Class II Reciever Hitch
Trailer tow w/4-Pin connector Wiring
SPRING - left front, rear and right front, rear
5 additional gallosn of gas <-----I filled up last night, at 68.8L which is 18 US gallons ish, I just cant see it being 27.5 Gallon tank! the link you sent says 22.5 this says +5, but even still I cant see it being 22.5 gallons. That meant I had about another 100k left (at 22.5G)

5 additional gallons of gas is something they put in your 22.5 gallon tank from factory for transporting the jeep. It is just 5 gallons of gas. Tank is "22.5" although most have only squeezed in 19 or 20

I think this:
U-Haul: 6x12 Cargo Trailer Rental

would fit my needs.

If I use a distributed weight hitch it should be ok. I will have to monitor the weight that goes into it.

3.73 gear ratio. 4 door sahara

1. GVWR 5,500
2. GTWR 3,500 lbs
3. GCWR 8,268 pounds respectively.
4. MTW 350 lbs
5. AVW (Passengers 245, Cargo 300, +200 for safety? = 745 pounds + FAT JEEP = OMG) "the door sill says 850 pounds max cargo+passengers hehe"
6. MFA is 32 for both axle types.

SO....Is this right?

Calculation as follows AVW (fuel+driver+Passengers+Cargo+jeep) + Trailer (dry) + Trailer Cargo (wet) = GCWR

So whatever I do I cant exceed or should not exceed 3500 pounds on the trailer+cargo. if the jeep weighed 5500 and the full trailer 3500 = 9000 pounds which is over my GCWR?
I guess AVW is important!

when I crossed at the border going in to BC, Canada they did not have private passenger vehicles weigh on the scales. When I crossed back into the U.S., at a different crossing, much smaller, they didn't even have scales and outside of talking Jeeps and off-roading, they couldn't have cared less.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

My son and I weighed my jeep on the way home at the public scale 2240 KG, the scale was 40 already from all the snow and shit on it.
When he stepped on it it bumped to 70, so I know its fairly accurate.

SO...

2240 - 70 for my son and the overage.
I had 1/3 tank of gas so did some additional math below....

2170KG *2.2 = 4774 pounds (I was already in it)

4774 + 160 (wife) + 130.5 (fuel) = 5064.5 (GVW I believe is set at 5500 pounds)

Does this mean that I can only put in 435.5 more pounds?

The reality is that you put 2 more people in the jeep even as passengers then I am over the weight limit. Is that even possible?
I have a tongue weight of 350 pounds, now from my understanding I have to subtract this too from my 435 pounds.
Which in reality means I can only take 85 pounds of cargo inside my jeep?

That just cant be right................Anyone help me out here?

FUEL MATH:
1 gallon is 7.25lbs, my tank is 18 ish gallons full (manual says 21 but never put that much in before EVER)
18*7.25 = 130.5 pounds

Sorry for all the questions guys, Just trying to understand it all and figure it out.

I will weigh again in the spring when there is no snow and what not on my jeep, I am hoping that there is 40+ pounds of it hahaha
