Default Wobble in reverse

I haven't seen this problem after a search. My girlfriend's driveway is very steep and when I back out of it at low speed in the new 4dr Rubi, the rear end wobbles/shakes pretty badly. It doesn't happen except when backing up on a steep grade. Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts?

I have felt this when like you said backing up a grade or backing up quickly Have not given it much thought, Kind of feels like in my old YJ when the rear springs wrapped up under load

Is the driveway paved or dirt?
If dirt, the tires could be slipping and the BLD would be kicking in. The rear tires would get light as the weight shifts forward.
If it's paved,
Edit to add: Auto or stick? That might make a difference how this is thought about.
I have seen clutch springs cause this. Not really a problem.

The driveway is paved and the Rubi is an automatic. I'm only backing up about 20 feet at most. The first time it happened my gas tank was on empty and I thought it was the engine was cutting out as I backed up causing a loss of power to the rear wheel drive, but it's happened since with a full tank. I may need to have her back it out and watch what's happening from behind (let's hope she doesn't run me down).

I know this is probably a really dumb question but is the Jeep in 4WD?

I recall reading that this has been an issue for several people. Don't recall reading about any fixes or outcomes. Good luck.

is it more of a bounce than a wiggle.........if its a bounce it may be wheelhop, and be acting like the old leafspung trucks when you get in the sand and the axle trys to wrap....
