Default Would a 2007 stock soft top fit a 2016?

I bought a 2016 2-door wrangler and know someone who has a 2007 soft top that he's never used. Anyone know if that will fit on mine?

I've seen others say that if you have the door surrounds, the tailgate bar, and all the hardware it should work.

It should fit. The design hasn't changed

You should be fine. I have an 09 soft top on my 2012. Just make sure you have the door surrounds for that top. So the 07 door surrounds and tailgate bar and everything will fit fine.

As long as you have all the hardware, it will fit. There was a design change in 2010 (I believe) that changed some things, big item being the window shape changed slightly, but enough to not make them interchangeable. Also as noted the door surrounds changed.

I am in the same boat. I have a 2008 Jku that had dual tops with it. I just purchased a 2016 Jku that has the hard top. Wondering if the 2008 soft top will fit on the 2016?

As previously stated, as long as you have the door surrounds and tailgate bar everything will work.

The position of the footman loop above the windshield also changed. You can either just remove it when using the soft top or grind the soft top header plastic to clear it. Otherwise you will get wind noise and possibly a leak as it keeps the center from seating fully. Also make sure you get the roll bar brackets and attachment bolts which are often overlooked.

I have a 2018 JKU and acquired a stock soft top. When I looked up the part number on mopar for door surround it says it’s only for 2007 to 2009 jku models and won’t fit my vehicle... and the actual soft top says manufactured in 2017. Will this still be ok?
