Sick as ****. I'm sold. Thanks for finishing the Christmas list rob.

The RTIC coolers are on par with the YETI and IMO way better for half the price

I am sure Yeti is an over priced cooler but I do know this as fact and not information that I read on the internet or in an ad. In late August 2015 I did the Rubicon and left Missoula Mt. with my Yeti tundra 50 filled with ice. It was hot and it was two full days to the trail head and we spent 3 days on the trail and 2 days back and I still had ice. End of August 2016 same scenario only this time it was Dusy ershim and we took an extra coming home as we drove up the coast and when we got back still had ice. I had frozen a couple of 1/2 gallon milk jugs before leaving and they still had ice. I added cubed ice once before hitting the trail heads but that was it. For me worth every penny even tho I know there are cheaper ones that could do the same.

I'll expand on what jadmt said: ice lasts longer when in solid block form instead of a bunch of cubes. For my cooler, I line the bottom with cheap frozen water bottles. Because the rotomolded coolers have good insulation and tight deals, you don't need to submerge your food in a pile of ice cubes. The cold from the frozen water bottles permeated the inside volume of the cooler. Back in the day before refrigeration they used to call them ice boxes.

do a search for Trademark innovations cooler. They have a 30 quart rotomolded cooler for $104.99 on amazon prime. Dimensions are 2" shorter and about 2" narrower than the Engel 35.

Hey guys I'm totally watching this thread! I too have a 2door and struggle with the storage space. I'll add a twist. I also have the best top trunk thing. It robs just a little bit of space. I've always struggled to find a cooler that I can stick in the trunk. And I still need room for a trail tool bag.

there has been an explosion of manufacturers of rotomolded coolers in the past year. Now well over a dozen. I'm sure someone makes one that fits. Check out the dimension of the Trademark Innovations 30 that I posted about above.

Keep in mind - you will likely never see the actual ice retention that is specified, particularly if your cooler is in your vehicle in the sun. That 10 day cooler may actually only hold ice for 2-3 days. And, the smaller the cooler, the less number of days it will be able to retain ice. Temperature is gained through the walls. The surface area of wall is a much higher percentage of the internal volume for a small cooler compared to a large cooler. There are plenty of videos and reviews online where people compare the ice retention of various coolers.

For me it's a choice of latch style, I have a Pelican 65 (tannish color) and a Pelican 35 (green). I like the positive latches rather than the rubber straps. My Pelicans work great in the hot sun.

Edit: I don't have back seats in my 2-door Jeeps so fit is based on what else is going along
