What's the reasoning behind building these. The stock front locations are just fine and look way better and not asking to get ripped out by someone passing by.

These don't blend in well either. Stick out like a sore thumb so to speak. This is what a huge audio budget gets you?

Look great. And also look TOTALLY wrong for the interior. Couldn't you have done them in sort of a more angular shape? And rhino lined them and made diamond plate inserts? Just seems wrong. And looks like a hell of an afterthought.

Plus, the "rainbow effect" on staging with tweeters down low kinda sucks and it's hard to eliminate. Unless you are adding a set of tweeters to the dash location, crossed over really high( around 7-10k), to help raise the outside of the stage.

Again. Good work. Totally wrong look, IMO.

Also, the HUGE peak in the mid-bass around 180-220hz from having the mids in a VERY HIGH "Q" enclosure...what are you doing to compensate?

Maybe kick panels are a bad idea? I've looked into building some for my Jeep and the negatives are too much to hassle with. Especially when I have a Mosconi 6to8. Time alignment makes it sound great for me. I don't care about passengers and their ears, I'm paying the bills.

For your sake, I hope it is a joke as well. Kinda look stupid. Doesn't it?

If they are trying to get path lengths even for imaging, tell them to mount enclosures for two 5 1/4 mid bass drivers way up front in the floor board. Behind the pedals and a sort of same version on the passenger side floorboard. There is room. And then just make em black and you won't see them

But, honestly, like DunnyBunny said, just put the damn things in stock locations and apply lots of power. Those things look like 1990 all over again.

Notice how mine cosmetically integrate with the interior. This is kinda a way to make them less of an "eyesore".

Now that is a proper kickpanel....I have stayed out of this thread, but the old car audio installer in me can't take anymore. Like Collyn stated that stage is way to low, kickpanels are a horrible idea in a Jeep, and you will lose true midbass in such a small shitty enclosure. That thing you built is a crappy enclosure screwed to the floor, not a kickpanel by any installers standard. Well maybe bestbuys standard.

If this is what Del ray is truly known for, you've been ripping people off for way too long or they're expectations are way too low.

3Chainz....I'm sorry man, at least let me apologize to you. For the money you have spent (assuming) in this thing...it could have been built at any well known 4x4 builder, then taken to a true world class audio shop, and then to a painter. You probably would have come out ahead. At this point, Del ray would owe me money back just for seeing this through and the marketing they are trying to gain from it all. I would not license my name to be used/associated by them any further regarding this build.

If he was going to do a kick panel, its should have been integrated into the floor in a water tight enclosure, lined like the floor, and with a steel type grill so you could step all over it. Yea I agree, kick panels are 1990s.
