Rebel Off Road - The Silver Bullet
Have you ever wondered what your JK would be like with a power plant straight out of a muscle car? Or perhaps with a suspension and drivetrain system built to conquer any terrain across all seven continents? Or maybe just the luxurious comfort for a daily drive to work?
Well Rebel Off Road covered them all with the latest (and fastest I might add) build – The Silver Bullet.
We started with a little open heart surgery, replacing the 3.6L Pentastar with a 6.4L Hemi V8 crate engine. As if that wasn’t enough, she was bored and stroked to a meager 7.0L, and then we tossed a Magnusen Supercharger (Magnacharger). She’s got quite the purr too, thanks to a fabricated exhaust system, custom from headers to tailpipe.
Mated to this beast is a transmission directly from Southern Hot Rods, nicknamed “The War Viking” which is rated for over 1000hp. Getting the power to both ends is an Atlas twin stick transfer case. J.E. Reel Driveline Specialist 1350 driveshafts connect to the Currie Enterprises RockJock 60 Front Axle and a RockJock 70 Rear, both sporting ARB Air Locker locking differentials. If you’re wondering how we’re going to stop this monster once she gets moving, take a look at her Brembo big brake package with six piston calipers and oversized drilled and slotted rotors in each corner. A PSC Motorsports hydraulic assit ram steering system makes this baby turn with ease.
Next we had to turn this street queen into a rock crawling, dust kicking, mud throwing machine so we installed Rebel Off Road’s very own RECON bolt on coilover conversion system with 2.5x 12” front coilovers and 2.5x 14” rear coilovers from King Off Road. Paired to this dreamy setup is Teraflex’s long arm suspension system, which rides beautifully with the 20” polished TrailReady Beadlock Wheels wrapped up in 40x15.5 Toyo Open Country M/Ts.
Her exterior wasn’t overlooked either. We installed a pair of front and rear Knickles Offroad bumpers that were painted to match. Nemesis Industries Odyssey and Notorious aluminum fenders were painted to match as well. Rock Slide Engineering step sliders keep the doors and rockers safe while providing a solid stepping platform for the climb in. A GenRight Off Road aluminum tire carrier keeps that 40” tire planed to the tailgate. A Gobi Rack JK System keeps all the Rotopax and storage accessories locked in place just above the roof line. A Warn Zeon 10-S winch sits up front with a Factor 55 Prolink (that also matches). Rigid Industries’ Dually D2s, a 20” SR LED bar, and a 50” SR LED bar provide plenty of auxiliary lighting. The headlights weren’t overlooked either, for those we dropped in a pair of Truck-Lites.
To efficiently run and effectively power the plethora of lights is a Genesis Offroad Dual Battery system with Odyssey batteries wired in tandem to an sPOD unit.
Silver Bullet’s pilot will sit in comfort in a set of black suede Corbeau LG1s. The roof has been painted black on the inside to better help the mood. Wideband A/F ratio and boost gauge lets the driver know how she is performing under load. A Lowrance Electronics GPS system ensures she will never wonder which way to turn, and in case she willingly takes a wrong turn the pilot can rest assured as she has a full Rock Hard 4x4 Sports Cage to protect the occupants.
All in all, The Silver Bullet is a hand crafted to take on any task, any terrain, and any opponent willing to present the challenge, and this is what makes us proud to call this JK a true REBELCON.

This maybe my most favorite jeep that I have ever seen. Just like I would want one if I was dreaming. Nice job! I feel like I should call you up and order something just for the pleasure of looking at the pictures. Thanks for posting.

Very, very nice! How are those step sliders? I've been thinking of getting them. Could you give a little info on them? Maybe I could place an order with you guys!

If you'd like a quote for a pair of them, please e-mail info@rebeloffroad.com. We'd be happy to get that over to you.
