RebelZILLA Build Thread - The Ultimate Daily Driver!
It's always a great time checking out the incredible vehicle builds that make this site what it is. The ingenuity and inventiveness in some of the designs is what keeps me coming back.
We've got a really fun project we've been working on here at Rebel Off Road, and I feel it'll be right up some of your alleys. It will be the new daily driver for the Rebel Leader.
We'll start with some pics, and I'll follow up next week with a little write up.

Work continues on #REBELZILLA - in house built 1 3/4" 4130 chromoly control arms with monster sized Johnny Joints. Once we know their length is dialed in we'll break them down and send them out to powdercoat for some Orange flavoring. We placed them next to a full length Teraflex JK upgraded control arm for scaling - check out that length!

So It’s about time since we last gave updates for the REBELZILLA BUILD. We have been working on this build for quite some time. It’s been a bit of roller coaster build since it is not being built for a customer but for myself, and Zilla has had to be sidelined on more than one occasion while we build and work on vehicles for our customers. (Gotta keep them vehicles out on the trail and customers happy and having fun too.)
REBELZILLA is quite far along now and we have been taking pictures and a little video along the way. We have found a little time to post on the progress we have been making and will be sharing the build process.
On the interior. We began by stripping the entire interior down to nothing. Removing everything in the cab from seats and carpet to the headliner and dashboard. This all needed to be done as it is getting a full custom interior. (Race Truck inspired with 5 Corbeau LG-1 seats. Yep they are heated and suede covered. An interior roll cage and Crow harnesses included). We made the center seat in the rear of the dual cab removable so that it can be interchanged with an ARB 50 qt fridge to keep the occupants hydrated and nourished on long road trips. More to come…

From the images below you can see how we extended the temp controls and relocated it closer to the passenger side leaving us room for the Alpine system listed below to be installed.

Wanted to show you guys some of the sound dampening material we're using for the cab floor, headliner and doors.
For the floor we used Hush Mat 50100 2.0 mm for sound as well as heat. For more information regarding the product click here http://hushmat.com/products/automoti...2x23-each.html
For the headliner and soon to be doors we used Hush Mat 10501 which is 1.5 mm thick. The stats on this one can be found here http://hushmat.com/products/automoti...8-sq.-ft..html
