1000HP Wrangler is Typical Business for Hennessey

Hennessey has built the world's fastest Wrangler.

All-terrain four-door super truck

It might look serene parked in the golden light of a later afternoon Texan field, but this Jeep is anything but subtle. It is the most significant enhancement of the new pick-up truck Wrangler yet. A true Gladiator. Built in the only way Texan master tuner Hennessey knows: completely over the top.

Stance and speed

The work of John Hennessey, this crazy Wrangler Gladiator is called the Maximus and its specification does justice to that name. With a lifted stance and even more off-road ability than the factory Gladiator, it can truly go anywhere. Better yet, it can go anywhere in a real hurry, because of a surplus of power.

Suspension fit for a King

At each wheel corner of this Hennessey Maximus, there is trick King off-road specification suspension. The additional oil volume and valving present in these suspension components mean improved ride quality and ultimate off-road ability, in the roughest of terrain.

Dana axles front and rear

The King suspension kit helps to lift this Gladiator to Maximus levels of ride height. In total, Hennessey has managed to add six inches of ride height and off-road clearance. Balancing the lift kit is Dana 60 axles, paired with heavy-duty driveshafts. Considering the power this pick-up has, all the heavy-duty drivetrain bits, make a lot of sense.

Hellcat V8 in a Jeep pick-up truck

And this is what the Maximus is all about: a Hellcat engine, unconstrained. Hennessey has slotted a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 into the Gladiator and upgraded it to HPE1000 specification. That means custom wiring harnesses, boost management, exhaust fabrication and a total of 1000hp. To ensure the Maximus can climb absolutely any off-road gradient, there is 933 lb-ft of torque, too.

These won't last a long time

To provide the hugely overpowered Maximus with some semblance of traction Hennessey has employed eight-bolt alloy wheels, rolling BFG tires. With the amount of power they have to transfer to the road or trail, we can't imagine these tires lasting very long at all. But they do act as a clutch of sorts, saving the eight-speed automatic transmission some strain.

Supercar fast and priced accordingly

Due to being an absolute show-stopper on its public debut at this year's SEMA show, the Maximus is limited to only 24 units of total production. Hennessey is pricing these ultimate Jeep pick-up trucks at $225 000 apiece. If you are the kind of enthusiast who can appreciate the value of a rock crawl capable pick-up, with the ability to run 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds, we are sure you will recognize that as fair value.
