Wrangler Rubicon Special Edition Recon is a Mouthful

The new special edition Wrangler, the Recon is creating some buzz, check out the highly modified Jeep.

1. Price

If you want a special edition Wrangler, you have to pay more. The Jeep Wrangler Recon two-door will start at $40,140, while the four-door will set you back $43,940. To give you a better perspective, the base Rubicon costs $34,190 for the two-door, which is a $6,000 difference.

2. Suspension System

In the front of this beautiful beast is a Dana 44 with stronger tubes. The front and rear differentials feature stronger case covers than the regular Rubicon, and it is half an inch higher as well. There is something about this Jeep's stance and capability that makes you just want to go off the road immediately.

3. Facelift

The Rubicon is already a gorgeous Jeep, but the Recon is even better. The Recon features 17-inch wheels with 32-inch BF Goodrich tires and modified rock rails to complement the tires. The Recon's wheels are all dark gray, which is the perfect combination of elegant and aggressive.

4. Interior

As for the interior, the seat belts, as well as the upholstery stitching, are red, which is a first for the Jeep Wrangler. The red extremely complements the dark gray wheels on the outside, making the exterior and interior flow perfectly together.

5. Engine

The engine remains unchanged, which is the case for all of the Wrangler models. The 3.6-liter V6 engine produces 285 horsepower. The motor runs through a part-time 4WD system, which has a rear-axle ratio of 4.10, and a 73.1:1 if you choose the manual transmission.
