I didn't find you an answer, but according to the installation instructions for the front bumper:

1. Install the bumper and install the inner (2) and outer support bolts (4).
2. Tighten the support bolts to 90 N·m (66.5 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the electrical connectors (1).
4. Install the splash shield and install the push pin fastener (3).

It looks like the lights are already on there, but a dealer should be able to tell you.

Well I put the stem on last night, no big deal, was pretty easy. I am going to take the bumper off Saturday and hunt for wires tucked up somewhere. I am kind of concerned because I see a wire loom going across the bumper, but no pigtails with H-4 plugs on them. will let you all know what I find.

Thanks JackMac for the visual!

Wish I could-- I don't have a real driveway at the moment, and it's 'mud season' up here in Maine :( ...but I strongly suspect the wiring is already in place for the fog lights, based on what I've heard previously.

THANKS for the part # and cost! I'll probably pick this up first, and do this mod myself!

Default JK Factory Fog Lights Install

On my JK Unlimited X, there were no connectors in the wiring loom that runs under the bumper. So I cut into the loom that runs right by the lights inside the front bumper and spliced and soldered in some CAP 9005 bulb connecters. ED Big Mistake! This morning I installed the turn signal stalk, it was easy. Fog lights are not functional yet, however as the ECU needs to be told about the "LNJ" (Fog Lamps) option by a DC StarSCAN diagnotic tool. This is according to the MOPAR fog lamp kit instructions photocopied by my local dealer. The dealer said he would do this task for 1/2 an hour labor or $43, which I will try to have him do tomorrow.

There is an excellent DC step by step "Jeep Wrangler Fog Lamp Kit" 10 page instruction (K6860117) for this install that comes wil the MOPAR JK fog lamp kit that answers alot of the questions you folks are asking. I think p/n on the kit is K6860117, but when my dealer ordered it for me, it arrived it had cheap rectangular lights that mounted on brackets off the bumper mounts, not the factory in the bumper round lights. It does however include the turn signal stalk and all wiring required, but still requires the computer to be flashed...The instructions don't mention anything about fuse or relay. See Pictures below for my install.:toung:

UPDATE: DON'T CUT INTO THE LOOM IN THE FRONT BUMPER!!!!!! It Turns out it is not for the fog lamp circuit! According to the MOPAR kit instructions, you will need to tie into the "Conn. D" on the bottom of the fuse box, CAV 16 WT/YL and CAV 11 WT/OR (Pins 16 and 11.) Then you will need to run wires out to the lights from the fuse box as per the instructions. Cutting into the factory loom in the front bumper and plugging in the fog lights caused 3 lights on the dash to remain on, the ABS, the traction control and the ESP warning lights. When I unplugged the fog lamps from the connectors these dash lights went out. I guess it is better to have a wiring diagram in advance instead of trial and error with the factory harness. No harm no foul, though and now I know how to hook up the lights. The ECU still will need to be told about the lights at the dealer...

Now I get to go try them out at night!!!!!!!!!

Update- The factory lights look and work great at night, filling in in front of the vehicle. Also since they are factory and only 42 watt, no one single can has high beamed me yet! Overall I am very happy with the install an I could have done it without the turn signal stalk.

Ciao! Ted

Before the the mounted but un-wired Hella 500's and the original bumper:

Step 1: Remove Bumper - The 18mm locknuts are stiff to turn and require a deep well socket!

Anyone need a plain "X" bumper with tow hooks, but without fog lights cheap? (Hella 500's not included, but you can have the mounting holes for free!

Splicing into the wiring loom...Ooops!

The finished product for that factory look...

Finally Success- I ended up using a Hella relay and tapped into the right front side marker light to send power to the relay. I made my own custom wiring harness. I like the end result because the lights can be run in all 3 positions, running lights, low beam and high beam. If you end up using the stalk the fogs won't go on with the high-beams. Also if you leave your lights on with the engine off, they shut off automatically after about 10 minues, including the fog lights with my current configuration. Now where to mount the Hella's...

What wires did you tap into? Those two wires running across my bumper in that loom are for the ESP, they run over and tie to the caliper area. You could honk something up tieing into there. I have been trying to track this down so you can use the stem and make it OEM and I think it takes a whole new wiring harness that comes from the dash and goes to the fuse block and then up to the fogs, but it connects to a whloe lot of other stuff too. Please keep us informed if the path you takes works , because I am bummed out, the wiring harness is about $250.00 and would be a job to put in. I will include a picture of what I am referring to and from what I'm told there are several of these wiring harness and you would have to find a wrangler just like yours only with fog lights to track down the correct p/n.

Default Read This!

Don't cut into the factory loom in the front bumper, it is not the fog light circuit, it is the ESP/ABS. Please read my updated post above. There is a whole kit from MOPAR with the stalk, all wiring harnesses and some cheap above bumper rectamgular lights and mounting brakets (read not the in bumper round factory fog lamps) available for $200.

JeeprTJ...when you put the two wires into pin 16 and 11 in the D connector, did you have to remove wires from those pin locations that were the same colors as the ones you installed? Mine already had wires in those pin locations.
Thanks,
Jim
