Default JCR Off road Dagger Series Stubby Bumper

Well I just finished getting my new bumper installed. This is the JCR Dagger Stubby with Single hoop forward bumper and a skid plate.

http://www.jcroffroad.com/mm5/mercha..._Code=JK-F-DAG

JCR does not coat their bumpers so you will need to determine how you want to do it. I chose to have mine blasted, primed, and powder coated. Cost was around 560 for bumper, skidpate, and shipping. The Powder coating was an additional $145.

The JCR Guys were absolutely wonderful to deal with over the phone.I got my bumper fairly quick and it was well protected for shipping. I chose this bumper for the looks and the fact that you can use your stock fog lights which I did. You will need to ream the out the holes with a 5/16 drill bit to fit over the mounting studs. (Please becareful not to smash your fingernail while doing this, ...dont ask.)
The bumper for the most part goes on faily simple, this bumper has a bracket on it that's connected to a nut plate that you slide into a channel on the frame. No biggie slide it in and put the bolt on, then just tighten the rest of the 8 nuts.

The Skid plate:

Sorry JCR, but I was cussing you guys like a sailor last night trying to get all of the nuts and washer into place. The issue was that you need to install the factory fog lights first so you can tighten them up. This leaves you no room to insert the nuts and washer for the skid plate as you cannot reach this from behind. Perhaps 2 people may have worked better, but I was too excited to wait. 1 5/16 holes needs to be drilled into the lower horizontal frame member but was pretty simple. GETTING THE NUT ANd WASHERS on it was a complete pain in the ass!! I ended up taping the nuts and washer with electrical tape and slid it in with a pair of long needle nose pliers. EASIER SAID THAN DONE!!
I bought a cheap blue LED to back light the JCR logo. We'll see how long it lasts.
All in all I love the this new bumper. My only gripes are the skid plate installation and that no instructions were sent ( they are on the website though.) - All stuff I can deal with.

Here is few pics and video.

We forgot that they side capped the lower crossmeber sides on the 2012! We'll have to see if we can come up with a solution to make installing that bolt easier

I was wondering! you can probably move the holes in board a little and have us drill two holes instead of one. That way you can get a ratchet on it.

I have the mid-width one bookmarked to get. Did this bumper bring down your front to the point you'd need to put a spacer in to bring it back up? I liked how light and well designed these are. Still wish I could get it poweder coated before shipping since I don't have any place here, but I can always try the bedliner in a can!

The Jk sits a little low in the front from the factory. If you add a bumper AND a winch, you may want to consider doing some 3/4" spacers to level the Jeep out.
