I had my procomp 8069s on my stock sahara tires until i could save enough for tires. The were 18x9 so the tire was a little stretched. But looked and preformed fine. Stock sahara wheels are 18x7.5

I was thinking like a 18x8 rim and going up in tire size after the stock ones are gone.

Stupid question, I mean I know everyone is gonna do his own thing but why not buy the rubber first then put the rims on after? Since you're keeping it an 18" why not get bigger shoes first instead of trying to cram a fat foot in that dinky tire? My $0.02.

You wont have a problem wearing out those tires once they are stretched over the new wider rims. You'll also be lucky not to pop the bead off soon as you hit a pot hole. I know u shouldn't put too fat a tire on a skinny rim and too skinny a tire on a fat rim, yes?

but going up to a 18x8 rim is very small difference from stock i think.
