T-Rex
This one is more of a tour of Rex.
Background:
He started as a rescue green 2008 rubi. As I learned to wheel, I went from 33's to 35's, 37s, 39s, and finally 43s. Along the way I had a 4"inch rancho lift, a 6" Terra Flex lift. With the TF I had Evos double throw down shock system--triple bypass front and triple bypass lever in the rear. I had a 5,8 hemi and Dynatrac FF D-60s with 5.13s, and all the armor installed.
The current iteration of Rex came after I met Bob from TnT customs on Wheeler Lake trail the day my TF suspension broke off the frame. The flexing cracked the long arm mounts. The welds held, the frame broke. Anyway Bob told me about the suspension he was developing and offered to put it in Rex. So I had them do it. TnT then completely rebuilt Rex. Rex turned into sort of tnts test platform. They design new parts, put them on Rex and see if I can break them. They joke that if the parts are Pat proof (I'm Pat) then the parts are good to sell.
One if the issues that Rex was having prior to TnT was weight. I had heavy steel bumpers front and rear, as well as heavy steel armor underneath and steel sliders. . At the time Rex weighed over 8000lbs. I had broken several axle shaft. My hemi was over heating, in part due to weight. To fix this TnT developed and put in Rex Al bumpers, sliders, belly armor. They cut out close to 1500lbs.
They also put in a Jeep Speed Shop radiator. Between the reduction in weight and the JSS radiator, the overheating issue was mitigated.
Rex's Wheelbase is about 122", the overall lift is about 3". Rex can do 95mph on freeway as well as do well on trails.
Ok. Here is Rex as he currently stands:
With the top on (easy trail, DD mode)
And trail mode (no doors or top):
TnT guardian stubby winch bumpers front and rear:
In the rear there are triple bypass shocks and the lever arms and a winch stuffed under that Al armor.
TnT Al sliders. These have taken very heavy hits as I've fallen off ledges and such. They work great.
Triple bypass shocks in front and ORO swayloc swaybar.
Here is the swayloc:
TnT uses y-link long arms in the front and a 3 link long arm in the back. The lift on Rex is about 3.5".
Notice the mounts are tucked away...
Rex has a full set of TnT Al belly armor.
A Full cage.
Removable B pillars:
They attach to cage at top.

Continued:
Rex has beefed up steering. No more bending of tie rods or drag links or breaking tie rod ends. Again TnT built this:
Notice the excellent geometry. Rex has no bump steer or wobble. He easily drives 75-80 mph no problem. Also it is hydraulic assisted (PSC)
Here is one of the ends.
Rex has two sets of rubber. Mostly uses 43" TSL/SXs with custom grooving for better grip and flex. These are on 20" Trail Ready double beadlocks. (The other set are 42" BFG red label stickies on TR beadlocks.). You can see the TSL in this pic along with the custom rear TnT Al fender and flare:
The front flare is a PSC tube modified for Rex.
Rex has 4 Corbeau seats. Here are the rear.
Rex has RCVs.
In addition the drive shaft had CV joints (1350).
Rex has a 5.8 hemi, an Atlas 5:1 t case, 5:13 gears, ARB lockers. Dual yellow tops. Edit: added pic
Rex was air brushed by "jack the painter". He made a little story book:
Little Rex being chased by big Rex
Big Rex trapped inside. Little Rex is safe.
Finally big Rex is dead (just a skull) and little Rex got big and happily lives inside:
Best of all, Rex Wheels!
