    Default Son of a B....

Just got my JK mostly dried out. Went ahead and pulled it out into the sunshine to let it completely dry, took a nap and woke up to a damn rainstorm outside Anyhow, gonna order the Mopar rubberliner this week, tired of drying out carpet, ARGHHHH! I know, could just pull the carpet but I don't want to deal will the extra noise and the tranny heat. Okay the noise , not so bad, but the tranny heat, no, I live in south Louisiana, the less heat I deal with the better.

I have spent some time in the Gulf Coast over the years, I seem to remember that it would rain for no damn good reason all the time during the summer. And when it did, it seemed to rain like the world was coming to an end.

    Maybe it is just me.

You sound like a good canidate for a good ole fashion rubber floor.

Did the steering column get wet enough to hold water? Wait for it the horn will short out. At least two of us have had it happen. BTW mine happened because I was driving through light hail as well as monsoon rains with no doors but a safari top. It takes just the right angle to get the water in the column.

PS Even small hail stings like a mother when it hits you in the side as you are driving through it.

Is it hooked into the horn switch in the column? If so that is where the short is/was not the horn itself. Mine barely woke my wife up however it was loud as I pulled the battery. An air horn doing the same thing would have the neighbors brabbing pitchforks and torches.
