Default Potato Ridge and Table Mountain

Ran Potato Ridge (aka Rocky Gap Road) with the Vegas meetup group and some members of the Vegas Valley 4-Wheelers. Afterwards did a little exploring to the top of Table Mountain.

This end of Potato Ridge starts at Red Rock

Yeah that's Roger. Lol! He's got I think an 06 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 6 inch lift and some 35" tires. There were 17 jeeps in this group and he was the only truck. He got held up several times on the same section and eventually had to be winched out.

His left rear tire in this picture has no traction along with his front passenger tire which is in the air as well

Some extremely modified TJ's that were in our group. They made that stretch look so easy!

I received this nice little gash to the hardtop when I was tipping in that direction going over the rocks on the passenger side. Anyone have experience getting stuff like this out of their hardtop??

we dont have too many big rocks here in central florida... but from what i have seen, you need to purchase a sticker from the location that it happened and place the sticker next to or on top of the carnage.

I know this is an old thread but I'm looking to be there next weekend and was wondering if there are easy bypasses to those obstacles. I have a JKU lifted 3" and 35's but am rolling with a bronco that may not have the ground clearance. Also a ford raptor 4 door. The raptor is really wide (7" over a std f150). Any advise?

I have not been in a few month, but I made it through with a stock jku rubi with only dragging in a few places. I pretty much used a spotter through most of the wash area. I would say if you are on 35's you should only need a spotter in a few areas but otherwise your jeep should be good. I would say no to the raptor and the bronco is hard to say depending on the mods. If you go from the redrock side, you will still have a decent ride before the wash if your buddies wanted to turn around and go back down. Aside from the wash, it is a standard forest service road.

Thanks for the info. Makes me feel a lot better knowing ahead of time. And good call on having the option to turn back if you start from the east side. The Bronco is on 35's with pre-runner type suspension. The drive has a fair bit of crawling experience (has and old bronco set up crawler specific). If a stock JKU can go I'd guess the bronco should have a good shot. As to the Raptor...that thing is so much fun but darn is it wide! I drove it through the Old Mojave Rd and it was a pretty tense ride trying to avoid those Joshua Trees!
