2 door PVC storage cart

2 door PVC storage cart
I know this has been done before and this isn't a full-on write up, but its a few pictures of what you can do with under $40 at Home Depot and about an hour of your time:
The space between where the doors sit are 8" cuts - I initially had 6" cuts but the window handles were getting in the way and I didn't like how the arm rests were getting squished by the pipes.
I made them 18.5" tall so the mirror brackets are not in the way - they rest just above the top bar.
The furniture dolly cost $20 at Home Depot and was the most expensive part of the process but i like being able to move the doors around the garage. I just strapped the PVC down with nylon straps and a staple gun.
You will want to cover the PVC corners with pipe insulation because you don't want your doors to get marked up - I had to use electrical tape to keep the foam down and because my jeep is essentially brand new I also put a towel in between the foam/tape and door to keep the tape from marking up the paint.
I'll upload pictures with the doors on the rack when I take them back off the jeep.
The beauty of this is you can pretty much do whatever you want, you can build it however you want. I went back and forth on how the doors would rest on the cart, longwise or sideways and settled on this format. I did not glue the PVC as everything is pretty tight - If anything moves i'll pull it apart and glue it but I don't think it will be necessary (and i can return the $7 in primer/glue).
Dont spend the money for one to be shipped to you when you can build this for so much less. I'm half an idiot and I was able to do it.
