Can someone that has bedlined the inside of their hard top tell me how it holds up to having the toggle clamps loosened and fastened over time? Thanks.

What is the best method for painting the roof interior? Any suggestions
What I did was take a red scotch bright pad and scuffed the entire surface really well. WARNING, you will use alot of elbow grease so a good beer break might be in order after you finish stuffing it up! Then mask up your windows and anything else you don't want sprayed and go to town. I scuffed mine up a little with a pad and then just used normal spray paint. Its been on now for about 4 months and the only places its coming off is where its rubbed when I take the freedom top off. I did take all the additional hardware off while painting.
Super easy and if you havent done this yet youre missing out. It makes it look 1 billion x better on the inside. Everyone comments on it.
Thank you. I will have to do it when I get my JK. Did u use just black matte spray paint?
I used the Bedliner in a can. I used about 4 cans

i have started this today and got the 2 front panels done and moved on to the back and ran out of paint so i had to put it hold till my wife bought me more paint .. i will try and finish tomorrow
also i left a groove around the edges white ... should i fill it in ? or leave it ? i was not sure if it would affect the fit and i don't need any more water leaking into the jeep. !
also the rocker guard i picked up at Canadian tire for about 9.99 and just used 1 can so far. I cant see using more the 3 cans total! so 2 to go ! This stuff is pretty tough i used it on my utility trailer inside the bed and in the wheel wells and its still holding up really well after 2 years so i can see it lasting a lot longer on the inside of the hard top![]()
I was also thinking of doing the jk logo just like a few posts ago but cant tape to save my life so i think i will pass also i will be trying to insulate the top soon while i have the time and it would just over the jk up if i did do it. Either way it looks fantastic !
I cant wait to finish and have the top on in the winter i will add more then its all done !
Cheers![]()
