Anyone know how to turn the ESP back on after disabling it? I did the other day but now my dash looks like a x-mas tree with all the lights that stay on.

ESP turns on and off with the same drill. If ESP is off, the drill turns it on. If ESP is on, the drill turns it off.

Did the dash lights go nus right after you tried to turn it off (or on) or did the dash light thing happen later?

Don't know, but after the dealer did my oil change a while back, mine only goes off every 6k, guess u can ask the dealer to program it that way.

Default How To Read DTC Codes

Found this posted by another forum member. Sorry, I lost track of the OP's handle.

1. To check your Jeep JK Wrangler’s DTC codes, simply insert your key into the ignition, turn it to the ‘ON’ position but do not start the engine. Then, push the key into the ignition cylinder and while holding it in, turn it to the ‘OFF’ position and then back to the ‘ON’ position (3) times straight making sure to end with it in the ‘ON’ position. It is important to keep pushing in on the key to prevent it from catching at the different positions along the way.
2. If you do step #1 correctly, all your dash lights will illuminate and your odometer will show up as a series of (6) dashes. If your Jeep JK Wrangler has logged any DTC’s, they will be displayed soon after the dashes appear. Write down the DTC(s).
3. If your Jeep JK Wrangler has not logged any DTC’s, the dashes on your odometer will be followed by the message ‘-done-’. Turn your key to the ‘OFF’ position and you will in fact be done.

1. Turn the key to the Run position
2. Press the gas pedal 3 times (pressing all the way to the floor within 4 seconds)
3. Turn the key to the Off position.
Is this to disable this function or to simply reset the light? I disabled mine trying to reset it shortly after buying and it never lit up again. Would like to have it reminding me again.

Question: I have grounded out the green emergency brake wire (watch movies without the brake on). I get a "chime" at slower speeds. Ideas?

Hill start assist disable proceedure
copy and pasted from manual

HSA Off

If you wish to turn off the HSA system, follow this procedure:

1. Start with the engine off and vehicle in PARK (automatic transmission) or NEUTRAL with clutch out (manual transmission) with wheels straight. Apply parking brake on manual transmission vehicle.
2. Start the engine.
3. With the engine running, the brake applied, and the clutch out, rotate the steering wheel 180° counterclockwise from center.
4. Press the ESP OFF switch four times within twenty seconds.
5. Rotate the steering wheel 360° clockwise (180° clockwise from center).
6. Cycle ignition switch OFF then ON.
7. If the sequence was completed properly, the “ESP/ TCS Indicator Light” will blink several times to confirm HSA is off.

Steps 1-7 must be completed within 90 seconds to turn off HSA. Repeat steps 1-7 to re-enable HSA functionality.

cheers

this trick has been a bummer for me!! I tried it out 2 weeks ago, just to see if it works on my 2011 2dr, and boom, first try it worked like a charm. And taking it out was the cats ass, i could do donuts and drift no problem in the snow. Now everything is covered in ice and i want that stability control for the highway, cause this heap is all over the place. Tried several times, over the course of a few days, different conditions and . . . . . It wont come back on. Even tried yanking the battery cable to reset the computer, and still a no go. . . . . Out of ideas. Anyone else have this kind of trouble?
