Well I made the cart yesterday.

Used the same directions except I only stacked two 2x4 pieces on the back. I also stained mine with some Colonial Maple I had sitting around. It was easier to stain than paint, no poly. Just get a lint free cloth and wipe it on, sanding is optional in this situation.

I had all the material I needed in the garage except the wheels. I purchased 2" rotating wheels with two of them of the locking type. I had padding saved from various packages over the years.
I used some egg crate foam and glued it on with spray adhesive and a couple staples.
Wrapped the other contact areas with another type of padding and stapled. Than wrapped that padding with some fabric the Mrs. had laying around and stapled. DONE.

I may use a tie down for the top once it comes off in a couple weeks.

For you guys that have freedom panels, do you just keep those on when you store the hardtop on the dolly or do you take them off?

Haha wow, I think I was out of it when I asked this...

Do you just throw the panels in the top for storage or keep them separate?
