    Default Transfer Case Install ?

Howdy, I've been searching and can't find a decent install write-up for a Transfer Case.

Anyone got a link to one? I've got a transfer case comin in and can't wait to install.

    I have a 2WD currently, so I can't retrace my steps.

The transfer case I'm getting is out of an Auto, and I have a Manual. Anyone know what input/output shaft i'll need?

Don't hold me to this but, I thought auto and manual transfer cases were not interchangeable.....

I pray to baby Jesus that you're not correct with that.

I've waited too long and spent too much on this for it to not work out eventually.

The short answer is that it should fit fine. I installed an 08 auto transfer case into my 07 6sp. Many others have also installed them.

The long answer is that the parts catalog shows different part numbers depending on auto trans Vs. Manual. Looking at both transfer cases, I don't know of anyone who has found a difference between them. The parts numbers for the case halfs are the same for the auto and manual versions.

    Have fun on your conversion.

    From 2008 Parts Manual
    Part # 52111013AH - Auto Trans
    Part # 52853412AC - 6 sp Manual

you should be fine.. i also did the conversion.. really isn't to bad.. i was also told at first that auto and manual were different cases.. but they are interchangeable.. good luck their are a few writeups on here of people who also have done the conversion, look them up they are very useful for what you are doing. search 2wd to 4wd.. a bunch of threads will come up
