Default Falken Tire Wild Peak AT

Thinking about a smoother riding option for when I don't need my BFG KM2's, and am really interested in the Falken Wild Peak A/T.

I've read that it's a great, nearly bullet-proof smooth A/T, however the specs make me kind of hesitant.

The 35" variant tops the scales at over 80 lbs where my current KM2's are mid 60's...

Just wondering what you guys think about the added weight in terms of fuel economy, balancing, etc...

Thanks!

Tera grapplers are good but like the op, I'm considering Falkens too. They seem like a good tire and reasonably priced to boot. The drone of my BFGs are starting to wear on my nerves.

I had Tera Grapplers on my 06 colorado with 5" suspension lift. They ride like radials. Street manners are really good and they are ok on the trails.. mud they get clogged not very good in that area. I personally am going to go with Kumho Venture MT's I'v heard they have good Street manners and off-road is insane. The only thing I'm going to do is get a Mud Grappler for a spare since they are a directional tire.

Anyone Riding Kumho Venture MT's that can give them a clean bill of health?

I ran these tires on my Cherokee in a 30 inch and loved them. They are a great tire. I ran some trails in the snow and they kept up with my buddy in a TJ with 31 inch MTR-K.

I've been running 35" falkens for two years now and love them. Yes there heavy but there bulletproof. They seem to work awesome in any condition and are great on the street they are quiet and I get about 14mpg street and about 18 hwy. they wear great and balance easy. Only drawback is they are a little wimpy looking. I personally will be looking into the new toyo open country a/t 2 next. I'm attaching a picture of my jeep with falkens and a picture of the toyo

I had Falkens on my old Jeep and switched them to my new 4 door Jeep and it was nice until they started wobbling bad...I road forced them and nothing helped. After switching 3 of the suspected tires, I switched to terra grapplers. Easy to balance and no vibration issues from them. I personally love the look and ride of the terras.

The falkens weighed more too. I'd say go for the terras and save the trouble.
