i am running 33s and looking to get a 2.5" lift. my local shop has a 2.5" spacer/suspension lift for $400 but i can get a full suspension 2.5 from rough country for $330. i was wondering if rough country is really as bad as people say. i do moderate wheeling

I have 18,000 miles on a RC 2.5" coil lift and have had no issues with it. See my sig for specs. My Jeep rides smoothly and I have never had any of the issues that you read about on this forum, flighty steering, death wobble etc.

I actually planned on upgrading to a 'better' lift when I could afford it but to date I have been perfectly happy and I can't see a reason to change my set up.

as bad as they say.as bad as who says. i love rc i run nothing but in any of my rigs they have lifetime on all parts, and there cheap. there are a bunch of guys in my club that run them too from jeep with 31s to full size blazers with 40s one thing i will say is they are cheap on giving away stickers its like pulling teeth lol

I have the rough country 4" lift and love it, yeah it is a firm ride with the 2.2 shocks but I don't mind. It rides like a stock 3/4 ton pickup. The only wheeling I do is mud and sand so far its been great no death wobble, bump steer, nothing!!!! And I'm still on stock drivelines. I can't speak for th 2.5" lift but I'm trying to decide between the 3.25" or the 3.5 for my wifes jeep. The 3.25 is the same springs as 2.5 it just comes with 3/4" spacers

I have the 2.5 coil lift. I had the rear springs replaced by RC due to sagging. The sent me the new springs and I had one of my rear shocks go out, also replaced by RC. I like it, but keep in mind this is the first lift I've ever had on a vehicle. If you go with RC I would make sure you're not getting the progressive coils.

I actually have the 2.5" coil lift and also have a 3/4" spacer in the front and a 1" spacer in the rear to make up for the sag from my bumpers. This combo rides great.

RC is a great starter lift. I really enjoy mine. But now that I offroad more than I originally thought, I am considering one of the others.
Maybe full traction, or Maybe offroad evolution.

for $400 i would get a whole system instead of a budget boost.

But as for honest reviews, After taking off my RC budget boost i realized that each spacer was just a 2.5" long piece of pipe with a lip on each end..

However! my cheap RC BB did what it was made to do and performed pretty good off road too. It road really rough though. I would recommend a coil lift for a better ride, or poly spacers. I have heard good things about RC's new 3.5" kit. but if you're set on running 33's i would just go with their 2.5" kit. maybe some better shocks to help your ride.

i'm running a 2.5" R K coil system and like it alot so far, great price too.

I've got the RC 2.5" coil and shock lift and love it. I've had zero issues with it. Ride was a bit stiff at first, but it seems to have softened a bit the more i drive with it.

I got a RC Series II Budget boost. Its cheap, but gets the job done and is somewhat complete for the price. If i was a harcore wheeler i would not get it but if your doing 90% road driving and maybe 10% offroading and thats mild trails, then it would be ok. I know i wouldn't do anything hard core with it. I'd rather have a nice complete system for that.
