    Default JKS quicker disconnects

I have a 2dr JK with stock suspension (other than 17 coils that replaced 14s in front). I only plan on running stock size tires..255 75 17s..on stock alloys wheels without spacers. When I get tires, I want to do 3/4 inch spacers front and rear to give me the stance I want, along with the JKS discos. Are there any issues running the disco with this setup? I mean as far as anything contacting the sidewalls when disconnected?

As long as you push the swaybar all the way up you should be fine

Do NOT push the swaybar all the way up with the JKS disconnects. The swaybar in this position puts the pin in a place where it can easily damage the sidewalls of the front tire(s) when articulating. Simply disconnect, leave the swaybar level, and secure it to the frame in the level position with something (ziptie, bungee, dog collar, etc). No worries!

Not to steal the thread but I've been looking at the jks quick discos too and was going to get them but I was under the impression they were made so that the pins held everything out of the way. I'm assuming now this isn't the case. So what's the real advantage to having them if I have bring zip ties either way? Just not having to bring wrenches to undo the links?

The one time I didn't push it up I was hearing a ticking sound every time I turned then it hit me I forgot to push up my swaybar and magically the ticking disappeared

The quicker disco are exactly what there name says it literally take one minute a side just pull the 2 carter pins one each one an pull the disco off an your good to go now you can zip tie or whatever way you want to secure the sway bar but I only secure the sway bar when I'm doing harder trais... They do make like a whole lot easier well worth the money

I have heard that pulling the sway bar all the way up puts the corners of it right next to your tires sidewall so if you stuff one of you front tires in the wheel well you run the risk of tearing it. If you run the sway bar tied horizontal , when you stuff it will be in the center of the wheel, not the sidewall.

The kit that stores it up and out of the way is the Teraflex kit, but I have heard people say they have ripped up their tires with that kit so it's still best to just zip tie the sway bar horizontally.

And yes the only advantage to quick discos is it saves you from having to unbolt, rebolt the links on the trail... You are still better off just zip tying the bar

Thanks for the replies. I'll just secure it in its original position and go the JKS route. I figure since I replaced the front springs and got a little lift and plan on some 3/4 spacers, the swaybar would be a little out of position from factory and it would be a good time to do the quicker disconnects which are adjustable so that I can get it perfect....not to mention being able to flex more on the trail.

Just make sure you get the 2-6" lift ones so you have enough adjustment on the disco
