Rancho 4" Long Arm ??

I was considering the Rough Country 3.5" stage II, then I started adding up the prices of adjustable arms and other parts. So then I started considering the more expensive 3.5" and 4" kits. It seems that by the time you invest in the misc parts to make the kits fairly equal, they all cost about the same as the long arm kit; $2000 to $2300. Anyone ever regret installing a long arm kit? Do they perform as well as claimed? Any short comings? Weaknesses?
