Default Should I use any sealant / lubricant or silicon material on pinyon yoke splines?

Hi,
I am installing a 1310 Coast front driveshaft, using instructions in this writeup:

Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource » Jeep JK Wrangler Coast Front 1310 Drive Shaft Installation Write-Up

I am wondering should I apply any type of material onto splines in steps 7 and 12 (the writeup doesn't say anything about it, but this video JK-Adventure.com How To: Installing Tom Woods JK Driveshafts - YouTube mentions some type of silicon at 1:26).
What's the right thing to do? What kind of silicon should be used? Can I use some ball bearing grease as another option ?

thanks!

I never put anything on those splines. I clean them up good & put it together. They don't move when tightened up.

I used black rtv. No leaks so far, about 3k miles.
