The wire colors are right on the diagram.. If you follow the wires from the switches they lead to the control module and relays right under the steering colum under the dash... From looking at the wiring diagram its as easy as supplying the sensor ground... That ground is supplied directly from the T-case.. Throw a switch in line that can supply the ground at any time and your good to go.. You wouldn't want to permenitly ground the wire becuase of the possiblilty of locking up at the wrong time.. I will do a write up this weekend..

On the 2006and prior models this mod was fairly easy. You just open up the dash and plug your new wiring directly into the factory switch. Now that they are using the integrated module, it will require more work. The Locker Relays are actually located under the hood of the JK. Mod will require running lines from under hood to the dash. The problem is that it will be hard wired, and always can be turned on and off. Not the best safest way to do it.

The other downfall is that due to the new system, tamporing would be easily detected, voiding warranty of the system. The Tj could easily be put back to factory with little trace that anything had been changed.

Just be careful not to fry anything. Electric parts are expensive...

Got a part number for this??? And a price???

For the mod it looks really easy if you just want total control over the locker. Just go to where the relays are (I presume they are under the hood in the power distribution box thingy) and hook up two switches. You just need ground pin 5 of the relay.

But I suspect the light in the dash will not be happy if you close the relay this way. I think the lights will blink to indicate the locker is locked and it is not suppose to be...

I have not been able to get a hold of the part number, and it is not showing up in the system yet.

Here is where the relays are located:

Why would you want to even mess with the relays.. When all you have to do is supply the Sensor ground to allow the system to work.. Then the lights work, and etc..

to allow use of the front or rear locker independently.
