My first aftermarket purchase... rock sliders... but which?

As the title states, I will be purchasing some rock sliders soon but I'm undecided as to which ones to get.

I have an option of picking up some powder coated Shrockworks sliders for under $480, but not sure if there is a better (cheaper) option.

I looked at some Teraflex ones that double as a side step that cover front fender to rear fender, but kind of look plain to me... however the protection looks great.

Another one i was looking at were the Olympic Rock Sliders (look similar to the shrockworks, but cheaper).

Not sure what to get guys... help me make up my mind, or throw something else in the mix!

Personally I would go with getting some Rubi Rock rails for about $100 and get some Diff Covers this way you are slowly building up your overall protection

You can always sell the Rubi rails down the line and get the rock rails you want....

I have no problem spending the money for the shrock works, just wasn’t sure if there was anything else out there that might offer more protection for less.

I like the shrockworks because they also double as a side step with the tube look, which would help the GF out a bit.

I do like the teraflex for protection, but for aesthetic reasons don't like them

The A to Z fab rock rails have the tube look, and offer a step.

That is a pretty good deal on the Shrock. You will not find stronger sliders. I ended up going with the LOD since they are just as strong as shrock but have steps built in too.

We have had some excellent feedback on our brand new JK products and I would like to thank everyone for their comments. Like the roof rack, our new rock rails/steps were also a huge success at SEMA. We are moving a number of our new products into production and I would like to offer a forum special for the rock rails/steps as well.

The construction of the rails is made out of heavy duty 3/16" plate surrounded by a 3" mandrel bent tube. The assembly has been powder coated to be rugged and durable.

The rock rails/steps have a few unique features such as detachable steps (purchased separately) and tube, as well they do not require drilling any holes to install. These rock rails/steps will mount directly to your factory slider locations and do not require any cutting or drilling.

These rock rails will add the extra protection many are looking for when off-roading and can be used as a step when needed as well. If you are looking at keeping the optimum clearance when wheeling, the steps are detachable and can be removed in minutes with simple hand tools.

This makes them functional both on and off road.

I think you got the best of both worlds and you will be very happy with your sliders. You got a great slider w/o the long wait.

I have shrocworks sliders and they are really nice and strong as hell. The only part of the deal that was hard is waiting to get them made and shipped like 14 weeks.
