Snorkel Complete!!!
Ok, all.
The time has come for me to step up my creations to something of a more professional quality.
I realize this will limit the Home Depot and Lowes jokes, but you guys can make fun of me for something else.
Anyway, I decided to start with the snorkel this past Monday, as the PVC plumbing look was aesthetically unpleasing.
This was my first attempt at fiberglass work.
Here is the finished product.
I will take pics tomorrow of it installed.
I want a cool background for the new photos....not just my parking lot.
I am running the skull intake right now, but will have a total of at least 3 different interchangable intakes.
EDIT: Installed Photos
The original pipe intake:
For the Home Depot/Lowes joke fans.....the Dryer Vent Intake
And finally.....the Snorkskull !!!!
EDIT: Here are the pics everyone requested of how the inside of the snorkel is routed.

It was a huge pain, but I love creating things....especially for the Jeep.
As for how, I went through many different methods...
decided to do the hardest one that I thought couldnt be done by an amateur. (I love a challenge)
I carefully separated the original intake spout from the JK, then proceeded to fiberglass over the entire thing, carefully shaping the curves and filling in all of the gaps.
...lots of layers, shaping and sanding..
Then 1 1/2 cans of sprayliner.

Wow Crash, that's quite the accomplishment, Im willing to bet if you had the patience you could make these and sell them, perhaps in the next basement builders event?
