You might want some paint on that unless it is stainless. I have the same looking material but it is just galvanized and will rust, especialy around salt.

 looks identical to the sheet I bought at lowes that was 2.5 ft by 5 ft for 7 bucks. dunno if its all worth 50 bucks

Yep, did my mod from items I picked up at Home Depot for cheap! All in all it cost me about $22 and an hour or so of work. Easy and cool mod! I can't tell you how many bugs have met their match that could have wound up in my radiator! Rocks too!

How do you guys open your hood, I have a rubicon 2 door and it has a latch under the grill? Thanks

You're going to want to slide your hand from the left to the right, and that latch will shift to the right and unlock itself to release the hood.
