I started around 8k miles. I swapped the diff and trans fluid around 6k or so. Overall I picked up around 1.5 to 2.0 mpg switching to synthetic on all my fluids.

I do all my own oil changes and since my TL also uses 5W-20 and I use Castrol Synth I decided that makes more sense to just buy a few containers of the same stuff and keep them handy.
I changed the oil on the Rubi at 3500 miles, one thing to think about is that the TL takes 4.5 Qts and the Rubi 6 qts. if I time it right I will end up with an extra Qt so I wont have to buy a separate QT which if you check the prices, is cheaper to buy in 5 Qt jugs than buying individual Qts.....
BTW get the ST filters as Wally mart has them for $2......
