or be going too fast and slide into it. Is the Jeep really that bad off? seems strange to talk about it being a write-off.

I'm sure he didn't know it was going to be a problem until it came through the firewall. How quickly do you think you could get it stopped at that point. I have had a tree of similar size wedge itself between the rear axle and the body on more than one occasion. It takes a few seconds before you realize that it's got you. It takes even longer to get yourself free from it.

I hope he is ok as well. This should be a lesson. I am willing to bet $$$$ that he was driving way fast. He had to be.

Hope he is doing ok though. Would never wish anything like this on anyone....
