Default Relocated Sub Box

Hey Guys

I was bored and was about to make brackets for my box because of the tailgate shock I put in so while looking at it I said what a waste of space.

Why not put it somewhere else. Then BAM- it hit me!!

Again I did this and if you follow and mess up- Well its on you.

I decided it would fit and look best here!

I cut all the brackets off First then filed them down and torched them so the color would be the same.
Tip- Torching plastic brings scratches and filing scars back to original color.

I found this bracket in my garage

Used this mounting bolt

Put the bracket on and put double sided tape on the box side

Press the box on and took the bolt out

Drilled and mounted the bracket

Extended the wire

Bolted down the box

Final Look

Fine as long as you don't intend to ever take the hard top off.

If you do, that looks problemsome.

Whats the issue with taking the top off? I can still use the existing bolt to hold down the sub.

I dont think so- because when the soft top is down the rear fold should cover a portion of the lower box.

Still have hard top on so I can't tell yet.
