Truck-Lite's New LED Headlamp Series

I'm replacing my Delta xenons with the TL's. The deltas throw a very narrow pattern so I can't wait to see more of the road. SMS harness has arrived. Now waiting for the TL's to show up.

A question about the SMS install, the harness has three bigger grey wires in addition to the leads to the battery. Two of the grey wires run to the headlights, but the third is a three-lead and the instructions don't say anything about where to connect it. According to the order form, I got the right harness so I have no idea what to do with it. Any thoughts?

I think you're talking about the SMS wires/plug that go to one of the factory headlight plugs, to trigger the new lights on/off.

Don't forget the SMS harness is also supposed to make the lights work better, by supplying them w/more/constant voltage (just like w/the Hella/Cibie setup).


It only took mine a few days, but I've heard they sometimes have to make them (may not have been pre-made).

Where are you ordering these from, is there a part number?

what is the difference between these and the other LED headlight that had multiple LED's I think both were by this company?

I was Driving last night. They seem to be to high. How do you adjust the lights lower? I know there must be some adjustments. I just can't find them. Please, maybe a picture would help. Thanks.

I was thinking of just buying cibies, an SMS harness, and new bulbs. That option is a good bit cheaper, but I'm wondering how it would compare to the truck lites? If I were to spend $500 on headlights, I wouldn't want to spend another $130 to ensure they don't have flicker.

I purchased these lights in march and received one of the first shipments. I am using the rally lights harness due to the flicker. About 3 weeks ago I had the high beams on showing someone who asked about them, and one of the high beam lights went out. I retried them a few times and it never came back on. Long story short I had to buy a new light and hopefully it was just me. Just an FYI to everyone. I contacted trucklite and the vendor and it isn't resolved yet. I'll post my final dealings when I get some answers.....

They made you buy a new headlamp when you had a lamp failure after only having it for three weeks? Please follow-up. I would hope they'd make this right for you. Since I don't think there are any user serviceable/replaceable parts in the headlamp, there is very little you can do. I'd really like these headlamps, but some of these things like the flicker, make me apprehensive.
