    Default Stock Fog Light Issues

Has anyone noticed or had foglights burn out on them? I have replaced one bulb this summer and I replaced them both with the sylvania super white bulbs. I had another one just burn out yesterday. I just wanted to know if anyone else running a stock front bumper with foglights has has issues with the bulbs burning out. I just thought that maybe I might get a year out of them.

No burn outs yet on our 07JK since Dec06. Its the wifes DD and she normally only uses the fogs when there's a need.

Most vehicles run at 14.4 at idle.... I'm not sure what voltage would ruin a light, but I know 17-18 and your whole car is fried.

But 14.4, give our take a decent amount, should be safe.

I run mine daily because I drive to work in the wee hours of the morning and to try to keep people from brightlighting me as so I turn the fogs on. I think it helps the smart people know that I am not running my brights. But for those special people out there I turn on the "Jesus" lights. My 6" KC longrange. OH yeah... But anyhow thanks for the responses.

What aftermarket fog light bulbs are you guys running that are better than sylvania bright bulbs?

I got a set of Generation VII Xenon bulbs kit off ebay for around $40.00 I think. It came with Head light, Fog light, Side marker, and Rear Break bulbs but I only used the Head light and Fog lights. .I run them almost daily, 14000 KM and they are still shining bright. Just make sure not to touch the bulbs, wear gloves when installing. They give good light I can't remember the last time I used my high beams.

    Stock fogs:
I run them generally more than my headlights.
Stock lamps for 6 months with no problem. Only under water twice.
Installed SilverStars Jan 1 and tried to adjust/aim the foglights "up" a little bit more, so that they shine down the road - not under the bumper. Well I overcranked the adjusting screw (it's inside the plastic rivet hole) and I heard something slip loose. It's holding ok for now...just a warning - don't over-adjust your fog lights.

Has anyone come up with a write-up for "All On!" with the high-beams?
Meaning when the high-beams are selected, all 3 come on: Fogs, low and high-beams.
This would be great when your afternoon trail run gets stuck and stretches into the late evening. I could easily wire in a "Stock" switch to pass inspections, so let's just skip that whole enchillada -ok?
    Thanks,
    Joe
What? Just because I say it like it is, and you don't care for it, doesn't make me evil.
    or wrong.
