You can manualy shift it under the jeep in the transfer case you can see where the linkcage fell off or broke. You put in neutral and shift it thru there and make it home or a shop to fix

glad to hear its a simple fix, but pisses me off that a 35K suv is taken down by a little piece of plastic, is steel really that expensive these days. C'mon chrysler!

Got four. They tried to tell me it was overkill. My thought is it's cheep, it's gonna break, and if I run across you on the trail I'll give you one if you're in need.

Over kill is like extra credit.. Most of the time you can't go wrong with it lol

Your telling me. I had to be pulled off a trail because I lost power, turns out after I bottomed out on a few rocks my battery terminals split, so when I stalled, there was no starting it ever again. Put a red top optima in, no more problems.

Solution: visit any hardware store, and get Metal 1/4 E-retaining rings.

This little mishap prompted me to look into a stronger aftermarket fix. I saw that advance adapters has an entire cable replacement kit, it looks strong as hell, but its almost $200. Has anyone seen this kit in person or used it, any opinions, is it worth it, etc? Thanks

This is one of the cleaner more pro looking fixes I've seen. Nice job! Frustrating to see one of us have to pay for a tow bill for such a cheep design and fix. Happens way to often.
