It looks like this thread is kind of stale. Seems like there's nothing very recent listed.

I'm especially looking for anything related to whistle noises from the windshield area on JK's. Mine's a 2012.

Alternatively, if anyone knows a comprehensive source of JK tsb's, that would be good too.

Probably your best bet is to run your VIN number of Jeeps website for most up to date for such

HA! That whistle I had it on my 2007 Sahara, I got one of the first ones. My windshield the whistle was so loud over the radio. I had a rock hit the windshield and the replacement windshield made the whistle go away

Thanks to the forum for helping me figure out that there was a recall for my gas tank, i bought a used 2008 JKU, and everytime I filled it up it would spit gas out. After reading thru here i saw some info on it and my jeep falls in the timeframe for repair. Thanks alot guys

I never had the whistle until I had my windshield replaced - they replaced the header seal and now the tops won't sit tight against it or flatten it out into the front of the windshield header. This is on a 2008 I bought new and until November 2011 no noise/leaks now it does both... The shop told me it was a known issue with Jeeps (he had no idea that Jeeps come in more than one build) and that he did nothing wrong - told me to try to get it fixed under the vehicle's warranty. Now I have to deal with the Dealer to get it fixed per the TSB. Does anyone know what this involves? Is it the same as the write up here on the forum where they moved the footman loop over 3" and used the new style tops like on my 2010?


Edit: the body shop is owned by the dealer - gonna get dizzy getting this taken care of

Unfortunately, I hav an 07 and the dealer told me they will only do TSB warranty work under the Jeep 3/36,000 mile warranty. At 55K miles I have had to replace the H20 pump, replace driver side exhaust manifold, now have the porous timing timing chain cover, the weeping tranny lines and the spitting fuel tank. So if you have an 07...your SOL! I wish I never would have purchased this pre-owned Jeep. Live and learn. I tlked my wife into buiying an American car...not I am eating some crow. Funny, my old 95YJ with 100K miles never was the maint. hog this JK is at 55K miles...sad.

My apologies for changing the subject matter, but just curious if anyone knew if Chrysler has any plans to address the copious engine issue that 3.8 is having, from burning oil, to rattling under load?

I know that there was a thread somewhere (maybe it was on another forum) where you could petition the NTSB about the gas tank overflow problem.

Anyone know of any other NTSB links for engine issues?

Go to your favorite home supply store. Find the weather stripping. You are looking for a bag containing a 10 foot long 3/8" diameter piece of foam. This is meant to go around house windows to fill large gaps before caulking. It works for jeep windshields too - no caulking needed. Use a credit card to press the foam around the windshield. I did this two years ago and still haven't had to replace the foam.
