Default Windshield Wipers, Water and Horn Go Off Suddenly and Randomly...any ideas why?

I keep having this issue where the horn sounds, wipers and water start spraying on the windshield (all at once) at random intervals.

Sometimes while driving...it goes nuts..the horn starts sounding constantly and then water sprays all over so I can't see and have to pull over immediately.

A lot of the time it happens when there is a big vibration, like when I close the door...

Anyone know what could be the cause of this?

could be the TIPM (fuse box) issue. Same thing was happening with mine until it just went totally nuts. Had to wait 3 weeks for a replacement as they were backordered.

Im so glad someone brought this up. I have the same issue minus the water spray. It happens when im parked and the jeep is off. Ill open or close the door, or bump the jk in anyway and the horn sounds, wipers move about 2 inches and the lights flash. I never brought in into a dealership because i was convinced theyll never be able to fix it and i dont want to be without my jeep for that long.

The most common cause for the "posessed Jeep" syndrome is a battery on the way out, followed by a bad clockspring and then other issues such as a loose/bad ground or faults with the TIPM or charging system. Get your battery checked out to eliminate this cause first as it's the easiest to diagnose and rectify.

Thanks for the tips guys - I was in the same boat...I brought it to the dealer and they could not replicate...I didn't want to bring it to the dealer again with the concern that they hold onto my jeep forever...but it is becoming a common problem (once a week) so I will print this out and bring it to them.

It's just getting worse and worse. I replaced the battery and it is still the same...guess I will try clockspring now.
