Brute-al Beauty: The AEV Brute Filson Edition

The AEV Brute is already an awesome package that gives Jeep Wrangler Four-Door owners the truck package they’ve always wanted. Now, if you’re the kind of person who wants some Land Rover-ish refinement, AEV steps up once again with the Filson Edition Brute.

Refinement, luxury, pedigree; these words don’t typically apply to Jeeps. We’re usually happy with just being able to get around what mother nature has decided to put in front of us with little fuss and lots of ground clearance. However, American Expedition Vehicles decided to partner with Filson to create a version of its JK Brute that can walk all over Land Rovers and still have the upper crust treatment.

They certainly tame the looks of the rugged Brute, to a degree. Finished off in an exclusive deep green exterior paint and Filson badging all around, it does look slightly different than the normal Brute.

It gets an exclusive Extang Trifecta tonneau cover made just for the Filson Brute. It’s a tri-fold cover that makes opening simpler and storage easier.

Inside is where you see the most change. The seat surfaces are wrapped in a mix of chocolate leather and Filson Rugged Twill material.

That twill also wraps the storage compartment behind the rear seats for full-function luxury.

However, what makes the Brute is still there in the suspension. The AEV DualSport SC Suspension gives the 3.5 inches of lift over the OEM JK. Thirty-five inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires wrap around the AEV 17-inch Black Savegre Wheels.

So, despite the Filson treatment, you’re still getting the Brute and all of its capabilities. Your friends in Land Rovers will probably wonder where they can get such a refined, luxurious and capable vehicle after getting over their jealousy.
