Well, this is certainly a top-ten list that Jeep owners would probably prefer to stay off.

Of all the cars thieves snatched up in America in 2013, the Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee ranked eighth among the top stolen vehicles in the U.S. with a total of 9,272 vehicles taken, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.

The report puts the SUV smack-dab in between the Toyota Corolla and Dodge Caravan, which earned the seventh spot on the list with 10,911 vehicles stolen.

If you owned a Honda, you were even worse off, considering the Accord and Civic earned the first and second spots on the list with 53,995 and 45,001 vehicles stolen, respectively, in 2013. But then again, I can’t imagine any real Jeep enthusiasts owning a Honda, or at least being crazy enough to admit it publicly.
