In 49 BC, Julius Caesar’s army crossed the Rubicon river in northern Italy, and began an insurrection that, among other things, gave us the idiom, “crossing the Rubicon”. Rubicon came to mean a point of no return, since turning back was not an option.

The name, as well as the idiom behind it, make the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon one of the most perfectly named vehicles ever. It tells others that this SUV is definitely ready to hit the trails, and it won’t have to turn back, where other trail rated SUVs and trucks fail.

In honor of such a well-named vehicle, and you fine folks who drive them, we wanted to showcase some of the best Rubicons from JK Forum. So here’s a selection of Rubicons we found in the thread titled, “The Rubicon, Show your’s Off Here“. It’s packed full of hot rides, so if you think we missed yours, or you think another is better, sound off in the thread below. Who knows, maybe next time we’ll feature yours!
