No expense was spared in modifying this 2012 Jeep Wrangler, making it the perfect toy for this off-road season.

If you have been shopping for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that has been properly modified for off-road excellence, we have an amazing opportunity for you. While flipping through vehicles listed for sale in the forum marketplace, we came across the 2012 Wrangler shown here, posted for sale by “clemsonkrawler”. This was the “shop Jeep” for Anchor Mountain Overland, so it was fitted with a long list of upgrades that made it an unstoppable force in the wilderness, but as the company is focusing on the new Gladiator, they are selling their built JKU.

In other words, this is a chance to own a vehicle that has been modified by industry experts without any concern of cost, so we know that some of the best available parts have been installed by people who know what they are doing. Literally every premium component that Anchor Mountain Overland wanted to showcase went into this build and you could make it your own.

The Introduction

When the seller first listed this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for sale, he or she started by explaining the vehicle and why it was being offered up for sale.

“We love our JKU and it has taken us some amazing places, but its time to move forward with a new Gladiator for R+D. We have taken this jeep all over the Rockies and Utah. It can do everything from being a great Daily Driver to Rock Crawler to Overland Rig towing a trailer. This rig is built with all the right parts from all the best vendors. Nothing was done for “sponsorship” or advertising.

The seller also included a handful of images, many of which we have shared here, along with information on the pricing.

“Asking $32,500 as is.
Clean Colorado Title in hand. It’s Located in Fruita, Colorado.
(Est. $22,500 in aftermarket parts without labor/powdercoat costs)
The price is negotiable with the removal/substitution/addition of some aftermarket parts.

The Build

In addition to the information included above, the seller posted a detailed list of the upgrades made to this Wrangler. While there are some areas where this JKU has not been upgrade, like the stock 3.6-liter V6 engine, pretty much every aspect of this Jeep has been upgraded in some way.

The list is too lengthy for us to post the whole thing here, but we have included the suspension list below. However, the axles, body, interior, lighting and wheel/tire package have all been modified, so for the whole list, check out the original post.

“Suspension:
Evo MFG 3″ Plush Ride Coil Springs (F+R)
Falcon 3.3 Piggyback adjustable reservoir shocks with Skid plates in the rear
Synergy Mfg front Upper and Lower adjustable control arms
Synergy MFG front Track bar, hi-steer Drag Link and Tie rod
AEV Rear track bar
Falcon Nexus 2.2 Steering Stabilizer
Currie Antirock Front Anti Sway bar
We raised the roll center 3″ front and rear to all but eliminate body roll and bump steer on the road and still deliver an extremely plush, stable ride.
We have the JKU suspension dialed in…. this needs to be driven to fully understand how nice it is.”

The only downside to this listing is that with a price of $32,500, it is not being sold on the cheap. Some buyers might be scared off by the price, which is considerably higher than a stock 2012 JKU, but when you factor in the cost of the upgrades, the buyer of this Wrangler is actually getting a smokin’ deal.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
