How to Install a Bed Rail Cover on Your Jeep Wrangler JK

By -

Cover up unsightly bolt holes and protect your Wrangler JK’s finish with this easy to install part.

Aftermarket parts for the Wrangler JK are, quite honestly, a dime a dozen. In fact, it’s virtually impossible to keep track of every little part and piece you can buy for the world’s most versatile vehicle.

Thankfully, there are people smarter than us out there churning away and offering up stuff that we might’ve never dreamed of. Like this TMI Bed Rail Cover, for example, that the guys at TMI on YouTube insatlled.

Cover up the abuse

Most of us beat our Wranglers mercifully, but many of us also want to keep them looking right. It’s a tough situation that often demands a little compromise. So things like these bed rail covers are a nice, simple addition that can help protect one of the most scratch-prone areas of a Wrangler JK. And they go in easily, protecting the upper edge of your JK’s rear tub (and your fingers).

Plus, it looks pretty good, too. TMI’s Bed Rail Cover is designed to match their Sport interior and Roll Bar Covers as well, which gives your Wrangler JK a nice, seamless look sans top. Plus, some folks feel like the bed rails look “unfinished” anyway, so adding a little upholstery covers up that unsightly little area.

Installing TMI’s Bed Rail Cover is as simple as it gets. Place the cover plastic-side down and slide the built-in sliders underneath the rail. The other side features J-hooks that face the interior and clip right onto the body. Next, work your hands all the way down, making sure each hook is securely fastened to the body moldings.

Covering up bolt holes and unsightly scratches couldn’t be easier. And it just goes to show you what lengths companies will go to offer solutions for problems we didn’t even really know we had!
