Jeep Flips, Driver Escapes with Only Minor Scratch

Jeep Patriot Flip

Jeep Patriot in Spokane, Washington, takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

We hear a lot about Jeep’s safety features and high overall ratings, but rarely is it so perfectly illustrated as in this recent crash. Following a collision in downtown Spokane, Washington, a Jeep Patriot was flipped upside down on Feb. 5. Looking at the damage you’d think the worst, but thankfully the driver of the Jeep walked away with only a minor scrape.

According to The Spokesman-Review the collision occurred when the Jeep was hit in by pickup truck that ran a red light. The force of the impact sent the Jeep in a tailspin, rolling over, and finally landing upside down. While the Jeep was damaged, amazingly and thankfully neither driver suffered any harm. In fact, the Jeep driver had only a scrape on his hand. Literally, it was  just a minor flesh wound!

We love our tough and true Jeeps for many reasons, but it is always a relief to know that Jeep’s solid 4 and 5 star safety ratings are reliable, road-tested, and come through when put to the test.
