Jeep Flood Rescue Baja 1000

It doesn’t really weather all that much in southern California. It’s part of the reason why so many people flock to live there. But sometimes, Mother Nature makes a calling and the area ends up with a lot of rain really quick. Flooding ensues, and ultimately people ended up stranded in the water, their cars unable to function.

That’s where Elias Hanna, Baja 1000 racer and good samaritan, comes in for the rescue. He owns a shop where the flooding took place, and sprung into action by taking his modified and lifted Jeep out and started pushing cars out of harm’s way. Not every car, unfortunately, is a Lamborghini that can survive the flood waters.

The truth is, if the water is 3 to 4 feet deep, as the local NBC affiliate claims, no normal people carrier is going to survive driving through that much water.

Even though it looks like he might be doing some damage to the rear bumpers of the cars he’s moving, that’s going to be the least of the owners’ concerns when it comes to getting the insurance issue figured out. Elias saw an opportunity where he could help out, and did so.
