Nearly 100 Jeep Owners Turn out to Cheer up Young Cancer Patient

It’s no secret that nothing, absolutely nothing, moves us more than a group of Jeep owners getting together for a great cause.

Sure, it’s nothing new, given that it has become a sort of signature trademark among Jeep clubs around the U.S. They all seem to love sharing that great American spirit of the nameplate with others.

Still, you may need another reminder of why we love hearing about these stories. So look no further than the ABC 8 News story above. A group of Jeep owners came together in Virginia to brighten the day of a young patient, Beckett Wyatt, who is battling stage four bone cancer.

The entire thing started via social media. Alex Widenhouse, one of the participants who grew up with Beckett’s father, connected with another participant named Crystal Cawley. After it was all said and done, nearly 100 Jeeps from different area clubs showed up at a parking lot in Chesterfield, Virginia. Then they formed a parade of Jeeps to drive to Beckett’s home.

All of the Jeeps on hand were given a yellow balloon (which represents childhood cancer) to give to Beckett. Many of the youngster’s neighbors and family members also showed up for the festivities. Many waved signs aimed at lifting Beckett’s spirits. He was even made an honorary member of the Virginia Jeep club. And he had an opportunity to sit in the front of a fire truck with his dad and mom, Roger and Kymmie.

We’re betting all that effort was well worth seeing that huge smile on Beckett’s face.
